Strategic Staffing As corporate leaders look into the future, developing strategic plans, human resources must be a vital component. Without people, most organizations would be unable to meet their objectives, pay their bills, and satisfy their owners. Many corporations have difficulty getting properly organized and filling positions with the right people even in present-day terms. Looking into the future, even a few months into the future, is beyond the scope of most human resource departments. They're too busy scrambling to address current problems.
There are three components necessary for solid strategic staffing-the planning for the company's future workforce needs. First, you need a CEO and senior leadership team that are future-focused. These key people must be good planners, with concern about all the resources they will need in the years ahead-including people. Second, you need human resource professionals who can business-speak, who can understand the strategic plans being drawn by those top executives. These professionals must be able to determine what kinds of people will be needed-when, where, and why. Third, you need a good tool to forecast workforce supply and demand, be flexible in response to changing plans, and be highly usable. "Strategic Staffing" is that tool.
Manage IT Services24/7 Network Management
Just because your office is closed for business does not mean your network stops functioning. Your computers, servers, operating systems are running around the clock. Additionally, some network maintenance and updates must be performed after hours to avoid loss in productivity and for the convenience of the employees. In our experience, networks that are monitored and maintained regularly, perform better and run efficiently.
Our engineers remotely monitor your systems for the following:
Server and workstations logs for any errors and abnormal events.
Installing regular updates and patches on servers and workstations.
Successful system backups.
System performance
System resources
Overall network health including the applications you use on a daily basis.
Remote Management
Remote Management is an extremely useful service for our customers. We receive several calls a day from customers with minor computer problems that might not necessarily justify an engineer site visit. Our experienced engineers have the knowledge and ability to resolve up to about 70% of the problems remotely, which lowers your repair costs.
How does it work?
By installing special remote control software on your systems, we can connect to your computers over a high speed Internet connection. We interact with the users through a chat session or over the telephone to understand the problem and to provide a quick solution.
Advantages:
Cost savings associated with dispatching an engineer to your site at an hourly rate.
Quick resolution rather than scheduling and waiting for an engineer.
Help Desk Service
Help Desk is like having technology experts at your fingertips. Our engineers are standing by to help you past those computer annoyances or computer questions to get your job done. You can count on us to attend to your problems.
Scheduled On-site support
We understand that not all computer problems can be resolved remotely. For that reason we schedule appointments to come on site to attend to those problems. It is extremely important for engineers to schedule regular on site visits so that they can interact with employees, understand their needs and learn how they use vital computer resources on a daily basis. It also helps us provide recommendation and improvements in certain areas. We strongly believe that communication and regular discussions are essential for any business.
Backup Monitoring
Having a good backup strategy is the most essential part of every business. Without one, you are running a business without any contingency plans in case of natural disasters or unknown system failure. Our engineers are experts in designing robust backup strategies with both on-site and remote backup to completely protect your data.
Can your business afford to be without a backup system in place and risk loosing all contacts, emails or your accounting files?
Priority Scheduling for Emergencies
Our Managed IT customers benefit immensely from our priority scheduling program. In cases where there is a system crash or network shutdown, we summon our engineers to visit the site at their earliest convenience. This convenience is invaluable for any business as the loss in revenue and unproductive employees itself warrants the need for this service.
Collaboration with Third-Party Vendors
As your Managed IT services provider, we even work with your third-party hardware and software vendors to perform system and software updates to keep your infrastructure running in top condition. We can easily communicate with outside vendors to resolve issues quickly.
Complete Network Documentation
Every business no matter how small needs to have their network resources documented clearly and in a concise manner. Lost passwords and CDs result in lost time and frustration that can easily be avoided by proper resource management. Our documentation includes information on every piece of hardware and software and complete network documentation, which gives you peace of mind and helps you in knowing that you also have access to all the information we do.
End User Training
We believe in teaching and training as we fix problems. This instills confidence in end users and makes them do their job effectively. Our engineers conduct training from the end users perspective. They can teach your office staff anything from Basics of Computing to Fundamentals of Office and much more.
Annual Maintenance ContractsWhen you buy a PC, you make an arrangement with the assembler that includes regular servicing and maintenance of your PC components and can also include equipment such as printers, scanners etc. Such an arrangement or a contract is known as an ‘Annual Maintenance Contract’ (AMC)
A repair all of a sudden might prove expensive and going in for an Annual Maintenance Contract can be beneficial. There are however, certain things that you must know about these contracts before you actually get into one.
There are two types of Annual Maintenance Contracts:
1) Comprehensive AMCs
2) Non comprehensive/Call basis AMCs
COMPREHENSIVE AMCs are again divided into two parts
One, which includes repair and replacement of the faulty PC parts for a lump sum price. Here, you are not charged separately for the labour or for the parts replaced, and
The other type of comprehensive AMC does not include replacement of parts. It does not charge for the labour but the owner has to pay the actual price for the parts replaced
NON COMPREHENSIVE AMCs
One has to pay for both the repairs as well as the replaced parts. AMCs can also be divided into ‘On Site’ and ‘Carry-In’ AMCs. Under ‘On Site AMCs’ the service engineers themselves come to your residence or office and do the repairs or carry the defective piece with them to the workshop and bring it back when it is repaired. Under ‘Carry-In’ contracts, you have to carry the faulty machine to their service center and get is repaired.
You don't need to be a computer geek to know whether to go in for a comprehensive or a non-comprehensive AMC. You can do a quick calculation on the number of times there have been breakdowns or hardware problems in the past and then make a decision. For all you know, going in for a non-comprehensive AMC might prove to be a lot more economical. As the machine gets older and starts to give more problems or hiccoughs, AMCs become more economical. Usually all machines come with at least a one year warranty where all repairs costs of labour and parts are at the cost of the seller
HARDWARE:
This includes the actual components of your PC, i.e. the hard disk, monitor, mouse, keyboard, floppy disk drive, zip disk drive etc. The AMC should cover all possible hardware related problems. For e.g. a hard disk drive crash, noises during operation, etc. Problems caused by electric failure/surge are not covered here. For very sensitive machines, manufacturers recommend the use of a UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply Machine)
NETWORKING:
This would cover all the LAN and networking related problems, dealing with HUBS, cables etc. The HUBS might fail to function properly or the PCs might not be able to connect. All this has to be repaired under the AMC.
SOFTWARE:
This includes an AMC for all the software related issues such as Operating Systems, Mail Software, Database software etc. It is advised that one should always buy licensed and legal software to prevent any software issues and it also makes maintenance easier as the software company will provide you with a new copy in case the older one gets damaged or crashes.
SERVICES:
Services include back-up solutions, cleaning of the computer system and peripherals, disaster recovery solutions, general anti virus checks and regular maintenance like running diagnostic tests to ensure if all the components are working fine.
The objective of this AMC is to give fast, efficient and affordable service to customers by trained Engineers. We undertake Annual Maintenance Contract [AMC] at an affordable price, which is far below than what is offered by any other Companies with no compromise on quality of service.
We assure you of prompt and efficient services. We can cater to your needs of Spare Parts. Should you require any services for any of the above mentioned peripherals, please feel free to contact us or call us to discuss more on this.
Monthly Maintenance Contracts - Why is dust a threat? Dust is a combination of
all of the paper, pollution, and dirt we encounter everyday. When dust builds up in sufficient quantities it can create
a conductive path through which electrical current can flow thus disrupting the correct operation of your electronic
the truly inconvenient result is not always complete PC failure. This tends to cause intermittent and irregular errors
that are difficult to track down and often do not manifest when demonstrating the error you are receiving to others.
Things to Consider
When you or your employees take the time to breakdown a PC, load it into your car and take it in for repair how much is that time worth to you? When you lose a PC or a printer for 2 days during an inoperable period how much does that work stoppage cost you in time and backlog? When properly maintained the Return on Investment (ROI) on a PC can be stretched out over a much longer period of time. An improperly maintained PC is far more likely to fail and cause data loss in the process.
